PUNCAK - A meaningful act of service unfolded in Ninggabuma Village, Gome District, as the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad Task Forces, operating under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, held a "Free Health Treatment" initiative on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. This initiative, spearheaded by the Gome Post under First Lieutenant Galang, aimed to address the healthcare challenges faced by the residents of Ninggabuma.
The activity, designed as part of the Task Force's Territorial mission, provided essential health services, including general medical check-ups, treatment for minor ailments, vitamin distribution, and education on maintaining hygiene and adopting healthy lifestyles. It was a practical expression of their commitment to the community’s well-being.
The event saw an enthusiastic response from Ninggabuma residents, with many visiting the Gome Post to avail themselves of the free health services. Among the attendees was Mama Ever Turnib, who received treatment for her flu. She expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 323. I feel much better now. God bless you."
The Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, emphasized the significance of these efforts. "This initiative is part of our dedication to improving the lives of the communities we serve. We are here not only to safeguard but also to support and uplift, " he stated.
Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, praised the program, highlighting its alignment with the broader goal of fostering development in Papua. "The Free Health Treatment initiative reflects TNI's unwavering commitment to addressing the basic needs of the community. By ensuring the health and well-being of our citizens, we contribute directly to the acceleration of development in this region, " he affirmed.
